Located within the Medlock Valley in east Manchester, Sportcity is the largest concentration of sporting venues in Europe and is less than two miles from Manchester City Centre.

Sports Coaching Sessions (ALL INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET!)
Have a Go at a wide variety of real coaching sessions from the likes of Sale Sharks & Salford red Devils Rugby, Lancashire County Cricket, Manchester Giants Basketball, Manchester Thunder Netball and a whole host of other fantastic providers. These 30 – 45 minute sessions will run for different age groups and many will include Family Sessions. Pick up skills to take away and develop well beyond the Festival weekend.
Take part in activities as a family. This is the essence of GoFest! As well as non-timetabled activities which will not require booking, there are lots of activities that you can book in advance. Fancy a bit of Family Cheerleading? Visit the GoFest timetable when it goes live towards the end of April, for all family activities. GoFest is also the perfect opportunity for girls to have a go at sports, activities or classes they may not typically try.
Get the perfect work out with one of the many fitness classes taking place over the weekend. Make sure you check the timetable and pre-book the ones you do not want to miss.
Runs, Relays & Races
With the superb facilities at the Regional Arena, you can take part in a wide range of runs and races, from sprints and relays, to longer Family Fun Runs taking place each day. Get sponsorship and support a charity of your choice.
From musical theatre workouts to hula hooping, family Bollywood and street funk, it’s a feast of dancing opportunties at GoFest! Taking place by the main stage, get some hot tips from our awesome instructors!
Various Specialist Zones
Sports and activities will be grouped together in specialist zones to make navigating around the Festival grounds much easier. From our “GoTry” Rugby Zone with Sale Sharks and Salford Red Devils at the Regional Arena to a GoSmash at the Regional Tennis Centre, there is something for everyone, no matter what age, gender or skill level.
From swimming for beginners to canoeing, paddle – boarding and water polo, all available in the large flexible pools at East Manchester Leisure Centre.
Main Stage Entertainment & Saturday Evening party.
Throughout the week end, the Main Stage in the Regional Arena Square will feature dance, music, cheer leading and gymnastic displays. Then, enjoy evening entertainment on Saturday June 24th with music from local musicians, tribute bands and performances from local display teams and theatre companies.

Sport for the Disabled
There will be a number of inclusive activities for the disabled and for those with learning disabilities. Wherever possible, sports and activities will be open to everyone although it will depend on the level of disability. Participants may need to be assessed on a case by case basis on the day. Activities may include basketball, volleyball, climbing, canoeing and cricket.
